Exploring light and capturing moments in time since my first Boy Scout model Kodak camera as a child. One of my greatest gifts was my first 35mm camera, a Realist, that my Aunt gave me as a teenager, it had no meter and was guess focus. To this day I have never been able to take the same photos with it that Aunt Laila took to demonstrate how it worked. I have since progressed to a Canon FX with 3 lenses, purchased in the PX at Phu Bai, Vietnam to (2) Canon A-1 that where used for 15 years to freelance for alocal weekly newspaper. Now shooting a 5G Canon Prosumer model and 2 models of Canon DSLR. While the images from Kodachrome transparency or Tri-X film gives can not be beat, I have fallen in love with the digital media. Working with the images and fine tuning them in image editing software is so much more efficient. The ability to create completely new images from a combination of multiple photos or subtracting distracting elements is making it possible for almost anyone to do in digital photography what only the lucky few with access to very specialized equipment could do with film.
